## Overview

Boss Buster is a Rare item that adds 15% damage against elites and bosses for each copy. The bonus is additive with other elite-damage sources: [Bacon Bits](/passives/bacon-bits) gives 12% per level, so a maxed Bacon Bits plus one Boss Buster gives ×1.75 against elites and bosses.

It has weight 6 out of 53 among Rare items, about 1.1% of item rolls at luck 0. Copies stack with no cap. It has no evolution.

## How it works

The multiplier applies to every damage instance that hits an elite or a boss, before crit. That includes item procs, burn ticks and blasts as well as weapon hits. Endgame shields can reduce or block the resulting damage. [sim-BkfBhQfw.js: `(i||t.has(n,a.Elite))&&(d*=s.eliteMult*o.eliteMult[r])`]

## Tips

- Elites always drop a chest and bosses are the main thing between Tibo and the 20:00 mark ([Chests](/chests), [Bosses](/bosses)). Damage that only applies to them is still worth taking.
- It does nothing against ordinary pests. Pair it with something that clears crowds.

## Obtaining
