Baked Buckler

#Overview

Baked Buckler is an Uncommon item that gives Tibo 10 armor per copy. Armor cuts the damage of every hit that gets through, but how much it cuts depends on the attacker's level, which rises with the run clock. The same 10 armor blocks about 17% of a hit at 0:00, 9% at 10:00 and 6% at 20:00 (see Stats for the formula and table). That is what the in-game text means by "Stronger enemies get through more."

Copies stack with no cap on the number you can hold: each one adds another 10 armor to the total, alongside Starch Plating (20 armor per level). Armor reduction itself is capped at 85%.

Baked Buckler has weight 8 out of 78 among Uncommon items, so at luck 0 roughly 2.6% of item rolls land on it while every Uncommon item is still available. It has no evolution.

#Tips

• One Buckler is worth the most early in a run, when attacker levels are low. Later on, 10 armor barely changes the numbers unless you already stack armor from Starch Plating.
• Armor and dodge work at different stages: Ghost Skin and dodge cancel a hit outright, and armor reduces the hits that land.

• Items come from points of interest such as the Fry Cart vendor, Potato Crates, the Microwave and Tater Slots, and from loot runners (Golden Scarab, Lost Saucer). Ordinary chests never give a new item; they can only evolve one you already hold. Rarity weights: Common 59, Uncommon 25, Rare 10, Epic 4, Legendary 2.
