Salt Crystal

#Overview

Salt Crystal is a common item that adds 0.04 damage (might). Copies stack additively. It is one of eight Common items of equal weight, so with no luck it is about 7.4% of random item rolls.

Damage bonuses are summed and then applied as one multiplier, 1 + total (see Stats). One crystal is +4 percentage points, added to sources such as Butter Pat (+0.1 per level). It raises weapon damage and item effects that use the damage multiplier, such as Porcupine Spud fries. Effects that copy a share of a weapon hit, such as Spicy Croquette blasts, grow with it because the hit itself is bigger.

#Tips

• One crystal is a small boost. It is a Common, so several can turn up in one run, and they keep adding 4 points each.
• Thorny Jacket contact damage is flat and is not raised by damage bonuses.

#Stat changes

#Obtaining

• Items come from points of interest such as the Fry Cart vendor, Potato Crates, the Microwave and Tater Slots, and from loot runners (Golden Scarab, Lost Saucer). Ordinary chests never give a new item; they can only evolve one you already hold. Rarity weights: Common 59, Uncommon 25, Rare 10, Epic 4, Legendary 2.
