Wireworm Larva

#Overview

The Wireworm Larva shares tier 2 of Peel Forest with the Potato Beetle and appears nowhere else. Tier 2 is in the wave table from the start, at one pick in nine, and becomes the main tier from minute 3 until it leaves after minute 9. With Normal's two-minute tier lag that means up to about 11:59.

It is a plain chaser: speed 40, 18 HP, 6 contact damage. Compared with the beetle it is a little faster and has 2 HP less. It gives 2 XP and has a 5% chance to drop gold.

#How it works

It has no special behaviour: the chase kind just uses the default movement straight towards Tibo.^[1] Its mass of 0.1 means knockback moves it 90% as far as a massless pest.

Tier 2 is the elite tier from 1:00 to 4:59, so an early elite spawned in Peel Forest can be a Wireworm Larva (see Elites).

#Tips

• Treat it like the Potato Beetle beside it. Peel Forest's brambles also hurt Tibo (“Thorny brambles scratch.”), so watch where kiting takes him.
