Lucky Peel

#Overview

Lucky Peel is a common stat item that adds 0.05 luck. Copies stack: each one adds another 0.05. It is one of eight Common items, all with the same weight, so with no luck it is about 7.4% of random item rolls (59% Common × 10/80, computed from the rarity and item weights).

Luck does three things (see Stats): it gives a chance of a fourth level-up card equal to your luck, it raises the 3- and 5-reward chances of chests, and it multiplies the weight of rarity n items by (1 + luck)^n. One peel therefore means a 5% chance of a fourth card. On item rolls it raises the Legendary weight by about 22% (1.05⁴).

Lucky Peel is also the game's fallback item. If an item roll finds nothing it is allowed to give, you get a Lucky Peel.^[1]

#Tips

• One peel changes little. Several, or peels on top of Four-Eyed Spud (+0.1 luck per level) or Cursed Crown, add up to a fourth card more often.
• Luck only improves item rarity on future rolls. It is most worth having early, before you buy Potato Crates or visit Fry Carts.

• Items come from points of interest such as the Fry Cart vendor, Potato Crates, the Microwave and Tater Slots, and from loot runners (Golden Scarab, Lost Saucer). Ordinary chests never give a new item; they can only evolve one you already hold. Rarity weights: Common 59, Uncommon 25, Rare 10, Epic 4, Legendary 2.
